Stage42 to move beyond average in its second edition

MUMBAI: This is Not Your Average Weekend, Not Your Average Holiday, Not Your Average News Feed, Not Your Average Chemistry Teacher, Not Your Average Bromance, Not Your Average Bollywood Awards Show, Not Your Average Bra Burner, and Not Your Average Bolly Critic.

What are we talking about? A not so average show line-up for the second edition of Stage42 this year.

Stage42 is on its way for a second round in January 2016. With a promise to be bigger and better than the first edition, this year showcases a stellar line-up of Indian and international comedy and music entertainment from all over the country. The festival will be spread out across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Vadodara from 23 January to 6 March, 2016.

The comedy conglomerate consists of everything from Radhika Vaz's atypical bra burner ‘Unladylike’, Kanan Gill & Biswa Kalyan Rath's laugh riot 'Kiswa and Banana', prolific trio Sanjay Rajoura, Varun Grover and Rahul Ram's part-music part-comedy satire 'Aisi Taisi Democracy', Kenny Sebastian’s latest special ‘A Door Through a Window’, Aussie YouTube sensation Miles Allen's 'One Man Breaking Bad' to a day-long series with India’s favourite bad boys of comedy All India Bakchod presenting their brand new 'AIB Diwas'. This is just to name a few on the vast roster.

The music spread includes US-based acoustic band of brothers Boyce Avenue, bass supremo Nucleya, cult rap legend Baba Sehgal, prodigal rapper Naezy, soulful Sufi rock band Parvaaz, mellifluous singer-songwriters Nicholson, Nikhil D’souza and Mahesh Raghunandan, electronica exponents Dualist Inquiry, Anish Sood, Nanok, Sid Vashi and many more on the bill.
