City Of Music to recreate 'Indian Idol Junior' magic

MUMBAI: City Of Music, India's first music inspired township, developed by Nirvana Realty and presented by Disha Direct, will soon witness its first grand concert. The project is being meticulously designed by renowned architect Hafeez Contractor, and will be developed over 22 acres of green expanse. The makers of this project have been conducting concerts almost every weekend for visitors, but this time they have roped in the top 4 ‘Indian Idol Junior 2’ contestants -- Nityashree Venkatraman, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Vaishnav Girish, Moti Khan -- to perform at a special concert for kids.

To make the event even more special, four other kids will get a chance to share the grand stage with the Junior Idols. However, they will have to go through a selection process to get there. Interested children in the age group of 6 to 14 can upload their song videos on the City Of Music’s Facebook page. There will also be offline entries, where the City Of Music team will visit music academies and record students interested in participating. Those selected will get to perform at various other City Of Music concerts.

“The selection will be based on votes that the kids get on Facebook and from our judges. We have already received 40 entries and are expecting at least 200 to 250 entries for the concert,” stated Dish Direct MD & Group CEO, Santosh Naik. “We have sent a request to seven or eight Bollywood musicians to be on the selection panel but we have not zeroed on anyone yet,” he added.

The concert is set to take place on 28 November, 2015 at Khopoli, and is expected to have around 500 attendees. The event will also have guest celebrities- Shaan or Sunidhi Chauhan depending on the availability of dates. Both singers also happen to be the face of City Of Music.

City Of Music is being designed to integrate luxury weekend homes, villas, theme resort and recreation facilities. Construction on the site will begin sometime soon.
