MUMBAI: Triton Digital, a leading technology provider for the audio industry, today unveiled its monthly Ranker for March 2016, revealing the month's top streaming audio providers, as well as insights into listening trends.

Key findings from the March 2016 Ranker include:

All measured clients within the Domestic U.S. reported a total of 4,819,474 Average Active Sessions (AAS) during the Monday-Friday 6:00AM-8:00PM daypart, and 4,057,698 AAS during the Monday-Sunday 6:00AM-Midnight daypart.

Overall streaming has seen steady growth when compared to March 2015.  March 2016 AAS increased by 13.1 percent in the Domestic M-F 6A-8P daypart and by 12.6 percent in the Domestic M-SU 6A-Midnight daypart.

When compared to February 2016, the Urban Adult Contemporary format showed the largest listening gain with a 7.4 percent increase in AAS, followed by Urban Contemporary (6.7 percent), Modern Adult Contemporary (6.5 percent), Regional Mexican (4.7 percent) and Spanish Contemporary (3.7 percent).
