MUMBAI: Hungama Digital Media's ArtistAloud.com, which was launched on 7 January 2010 as a distribution platform for independent artists, has evolved into a full-fledged music streaming app. On 11 September 2016, Hungama launched its recent venture : Artist Aloud - The App.

ArtistAloud - The App, is a music streaming app, and also promotes itself as a one-stop destination for commercial independent content across languages, genres, and talent.

By being the pioneer in making independent music digitally accessible and indulging into curation of digital properties, music festivals, and events, Artist Aloud has taken the scene by storm in the past six years. It has been a launchpad for upcoming artistes and has also released original works by some of the biggest names from the industry like AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam, Salim-Sulaiman, Kavita Seth, Parikrama, Euphoria, Neeti Mohan and Tochi Raina.

The app will take Artist Aloud to the next level, as 'it brings the progression of music utilisation'. As the rise of content streaming apps revolutionises the Indian music industry, Artist Aloud stands in a unique position. As it focuses on changing passive streaming experience into an active one, it basically goes beyond the idea of a streaming app. The app emerged from the idea to influence the consumers in all fields of art - from music to comedy to dance and create a community for them.
