Saavn partners with Singtel in Singapore

MUMBAI: Streaming service Saavn's Saavn Pro is now available for data-free listening on Singtel Music

Saavn partners with Singapore-based music service Singtel Music to launch in the region, thus expanding its presence to the Southeast Asia. One of the fastest growing streaming services - Saavn - hopes to break new ground in the market and through the recent development, the company made its first official launch in Southeast Asia.

The partnership would provide Singtel Postpaid Mobile customers unlimited music at no data charges on Saavn Pro. From 4 November, Singtel music customers who would subscribe to Saavn Pro via the Singapore-based service will enjoy Saavn Pro's standard high quality, ad-free offerings, at no data charges.

“At Saavn, we work each and every day to find new ways to surprise and delight our listeners,” said Carrier Partnerships at Saavn's VP, Gairik Bhattacharya. “The Singtel Music partnership is a perfect example of how this mission expands beyond our content offerings as well. We hope listening to Saavn Pro at no data charges through Singtel Music will make the listening experience that much more enjoyable for our users in Singapore.”

The collaboration with Saavn follows Singtel Music's tie-ups with leading streaming services, as the music service concluded a similar deal with Spotify earlier this year.

Saavn expects the partnership to drive new subscriptions in Singapore. Singapore’s ethnic and cultural diversity makes Singapore the ideal Southeast Asian launch site for Saavn. Additionally, Singapore is the financial epicenter of the region, attracting an affluent and highly influential population likely to drive user acquisition regionwide.

Subscriptions for Saavn Pro on Singtel Music start at SGD 7.90 per month.
