MUMBAI: One of the best music directors, Shamir Tandon whose company Music Boutique is in plans about coming up with a new IP, which they have kept under wraps. A lot of things have worked in the past for Music Boutique. 

Shamir Tandon shares on the same as he says, “Our main focus to encourage non-film music was to and be in that space as it needs so much more encouragement. We want them to break free as it really needs that kind of encouragement,” says Tandon.

He further continues to say, “We have revised the whole non-film music culture in the country, there are artists who want to break free and express themselves. So that has been our endeavor and that’s how we created this platform - One Plus Playback. We had artists like Divine, Neha Kakkar, Jonita Gandhi who want to do original music.”

Music Boutique had come up with One Plus Playback. which brought fresh music to the audience. “This 2019 too non-film music will be the focus. Music Boutique is where we encourage them to do what they want and what type of content they should give because let the artist speak. One has to encourage new talent. We have got talent in every sphere now,” he says.

Tandon throws light on what has truly worked for them, “Most importantly what has worked in our favor is we have developed new music with meaning, which proves that music has changed the way society thinks or brings value. So I feel through music you can help and eliminate barriers and use music and philosophy of music. We have been doing music for a social cause which has truly worked for us.”

There are many platforms that are changing the scenario for the music industry, “Yes there have been platforms like Gaana, Saavn, and various OTT platforms that are also now investing in original music. YouTube is also an OTT. So they are also a part of One Plus Playback. It’s good to see that a lot of these platforms are encouraging, participating and investing in the music cause.”

This year, Music Boutique has a lot in its pipeline. On this, Shamir reveals, “We are also doing a lot of live performances in the space given and a lot many songs are coming up too. We are having another property. This is the first season of One Plus and now there would be more five songs, which have been released, that would be released sometime in April. There are total 10 songs in the pipeline.  We would have big artists like Sonu Nigam, Shaan. We would be coming up with ten meaningful songs.  Eventually looking out for new talent.  Also, the cricket season is around the corner, the IPL and IPC. They are also merging a lot of our music out there.”
