MUMBAI: As the independent music space gains further steam in India each passing year, more and more talent is coming out from smaller towns resulting in healthy competition and enhanced quality of music. Pioneering these talents and giving them a credible platform was the challenge initially but with non-film music thriving, record labels are steadily moving towards creating equal space of independent musicians.

Gauging this change in trend at the very on-set was Naushad Khan, MD, Indie Music Label, one of the country’s most trusted record labels for independent music. The company is fully committed to the cause and began operations keeping in mind the plethora of untapped talent in India. Among Indie Music Label’s several artists, is Darshan Raval, arguably the face of the revived independent space. Together the fruitful collaboration has given audiences chart busters like ‘Hawa Banke’, ‘Dil mera blast’ , 'Baarish Lete Aana' and the recent Blockbuster track ‘Asal Mein’. The company has previously worked with the biggest names in music like Sonu Nigam, Nakash Aziz, Ash King, Dev Negi to name a few which has enhanced its reputation as India’s premier independent music record label.

Reflecting on the company’s meteoric rise, Naushad Khan credits it to his team’s vision and relentless pursuit for good talent and music, “We started Indie Music Label due to the growing need for a credible platform for non-film music. The label will be also releasing Darshan Raval's upcoming track 'Bhula Dunga' featuring Siddharth Shukla and Shehnaz Gill which is all set to release later this month on Indie Music Label’s official Youtube channel.
