Brian Dessaur and Frank Bruens will lead BMG Talpa Music

MUMBAI: BMG Talpa Music, the Benelux arm of BMG, is now headed by two directors Brian Dessaur and Frank Bruens, since 1 January 2015. Dessaur and Bruens are currently  reporting to BMG’s Continental European Repertoire EVP Fred Casimir and COO John Dobinson respectively.

Bruens is the new COO of BMG Talpa Music. Previously, he held the post of MD in the company and was responsible for the formation and organisation of the BMG Benelux office. Since joining in 2008, he has played an essential role in the expansion of BMG’s business in Benelux which also included acquisition of   Talpa Music in early 2014.

Frank Bruens said, "We are happy to welcome Brian to our team and look forward to jointly bringing BMG Talpa Music to the next level. We have grown rapidly over the past months, assembled a great team and are eager to remain the number one home for artists and writers in Benelux."

Dessaur has joined the company as the chief creative officer and has an experience of over 17 years in the music industry.  Prior to joining BMG, he was with Strengholt Music publishing where he worked as general manager and signed artistes like Showtek, Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz under his tenure.

Dessaur said, "With the acquisition of Talpa Music earlier this year, BMG has created a great additional platform not solely in the Benelux, but on a worldwide basis."

The newly appointed directors will continue to work with BMG Talpa Music chairman Berk and BMG Talpa Music VP Pieter van Bodegraven.
