MUMBAI: Viacom18 Media EVP and Business Head, MTV and MTV Indies, Aditya Swamy, is reportedly quitting the music channel to join e-commerce site Flipkart as Senior Director Marketing. With the change, he could relocate to Bengaluru, and is expected to join in a few months’ time.

When contacted by Radioandmusic.com, regarding the development, Swamy refused to comment. “Nothing is official. It is yet to be declared,” he said.

Swamy previously in charge of creative and content for MTV, when he first joined the channel in the year 2010, and was later made business head for the channel.

In 2014, he also took on the role of business head for Pepsi MTV Indies, which got a five-year deal with Pepsi; the first deal of its kind in India.

Swamy joined Viacom 18 Media in June 2006, spending almost nine years with MTV, and has been responsible for increasing the channel’s relevance across TV, web, mobile and the live space. Before joining Viacom 18 he worked with Coca Cola India as a general marketing manager for eight years.
