MUMBAI: Request shows are mostly limited to the audio medium, but Maharashtra’s first Marathi music channel, 9X Jhakaas brings it on TV with ‘Wajva Ki’.

Wajva Ki’ will be Maharashtra’s first Marathi request based show, wherein the playlist is generated using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp. The viewers can send their request along with their picture which will be displayed during the screening of the requested song.

‘Wajva Ki’ will be promoted across social media platforms of 9X Jhakaas which has a following of over 1.5million fans.

Says 9X Jhakaas programming head Ashwinikumar Patil, “9X Jhakaas has always been a trendsetter in the Marathi music and entertainment space. From ‘Jhakaas Music Yatra’ to the ‘Making Of’, all our shows have resonated with our viewers. ‘Wajva Ki’ will be yet another first of its kind in the Marathi music space. We will be using social media platforms to generate a playlist which will decide the songs aired on the show every day between 5-7pm. We will also feature the picture and name of the viewer who has requested the song. We are confident that our viewers will enjoy this latest offering by the channel.”

One can request their favourite songs through 9X Jhakaas Facebook page or tweet the song name using #WajvaKi@9xjhakaas. Viewers can also Whatsapp their song request on +91 9619903607  using #Wajvaki.

The show that launched on 14 November 2016 will be aired daily between 5 pm to 7 pm.
