MUMBAI: Sony MIX and 9X Jalwa have come up with something special for our Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar this year. Sony MIX will be airing a two-hour show Lata in Concert from 10 pm to 12 midnight on 28 September.
Lata in Concert will air a clip from1997 Queen in Concert, where several artists from Hindi film music industry played their tribute to her by performing some of her iconic songs.
Queen In Concert will be aired in the Raina Beeti Jaye time band, where the host Akriti Kakkar will take the viewers through Lataji’s musical journey, her life and work, her associations with Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and Yash Chopra with some of their little-known stories. These pieces will be tied together with performances from the concert by Sudesh Bhosale, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Usha Mangeshkar and Lata Mangeshkar.
