MUMBAI: Bollywood music channel- 9XM has added another popular music genre to its programming, by introducing a dance music show ‘9XM House Of Dance'. The two hour music show, in association with DJ Chetas, will feature exclusive Bollywood mash-ups/remixes for television.

9X Media chief programming officer Amar Tidke said, "Bollywood Music and EDM are the most popular music genres in current times. To keep up with the trend, we decided to have a show that would involve the reigning Bollywood DJ of India -DJ Chetas, to collaborate with us. The show will offer viewers a party experience in their homes, along with new sounds and visual experiences."

Chetas will provide exclusive content created for '9XM House Of Dance', every Friday and Saturday from 10 pm to 12 midnight, starting 20th December 2014. On the launch evening of the show, DJ Chetas will play live in Mumbai, at Royalty to promote the show.

The latest Bollywood hits of 2014 and 2013 will be remixed and will be played on the show.

The promotion of the show has already started on television, radio, print, outdoor and digital platforms. 9X Media VP marketing Kapil Sharma said, "9XM is promoting the property in a bigger way. We have planned a unique activity around the idea of having a party at your house."

Tidke said, "On 9XM, we are running promos on -air featuring DJ Chetas and also break- bumper to build up on the Saturday launch." The channel has partnered with Red FM for the promotion of the show. Offering details on the radio promotion, Sharma said that Red FM in Mumbai will run promos of the launch of the new show and about the supporting gig in Royalty. Sharma further added, "There will be promotions on other stations of Red FM, as and when the on-ground activity in various cities takes place. There will be contests and RJ mentions, to give away passes for the live gigs that take place in various cities."

The channel will partner with over 100 lounges/clubs across Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Pune, Kolkatta, Jaipur, Goa, Indore and Bhopal where 9XM House of Dance will be streamed live along with the on-air launches.  Every month DJ Chetas will play in one city to promote the show.

9XM will also promote the music block across digital and social media platforms. There will be a dedicated web destination for the show and also app for Android users. The app will keep them updated on the 9XM House of Dance parties in their respective cities and stream the 9XM House Of Dance party experience live on their mobile devices.

The channel has joined hands with music label companies like T-Series and Sony Music for the content. In future, the remixes/mash-ups could also be used by the music labels.
