AIR Delhi marks World Radio Day with special programmes

New Delhi: All India Radio, Delhi, has planned various programmes towards creating awareness, educating people, and disaster management to coincide with World Radio Day being celebrated globally on Saturday.

The theme for 2016 World Radio Day is 'Radio in Times of Emergency and Disaster incorporating the spirit of Saving Life.'

All India Radio, Delhi, has planned the programmes in various formats covering audiences in rural as well as urban areas.

A feature in English titled 'Radio Saves Life' will be broadcast at 9.30 pm on Rajdhani Channel. FM Rainbow Channel is doing several programmes throughout the day interacting with various broadcasting personalities.

A Special discussion in Hindi titled 'Aapda Prabhandhan: Radio Ki Bhoomikaa' will be broadcast on the National Network and All FM Rainbow Channels of All India Radio.

Various programmes like Phone-in-Programmes, interviews, talks, discussions, features and OB-based programmes are also being mounted.
