Big FM launches folk music show 'Maatir Taney Maatir Gaaney' in Kolkata

MUMBAI: BigFM has come up with one more exclusive new folk music show 'Maatir Taney Maatir Gaaney' for its Kolkata listeners.

The show will give an insight to the wonderful folk culture and explore the folk music heritage of Bengal. It will be promoting local talent and cultural heritage of Bengal as well. Eminent folk Singer Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya will be the host and the show airs every Sunday, from 5 PM to 7 PM on 92.7 Big FM.

‘Maatir Taney Maatir Gaaney’ highlights the vast trace and lives of the legendary Baul singers interspersed with folk music of various styles. The show also talks about the lives of folk singers in the state bringing forth the rich history of Bengal’s folk music.
