MUMBAI: Just like for every occasion, radio stations come up with special programming, and  Friendship Day is no different.

Here is a list of radio stations and their plans for Friendship Day.

Fever 

 Fever is going the concert way where the radio station has organised on-air gigs - KK, Bombay Vikings, Euphoria and Lucky Ali will be performing and will try to create a nostalgic atmosphere. Also, Fever has invited celebrities like Farhan Akhtar, Vidya Balan, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan to share their best experience of friendship.
Radio Mirchi

Radio Mirchi Mumbai introduces a concept of 'Silent Party' a day before Friendship Day. 
The concept is as follows where the people can come along with their friends and dance in their own trip without worrying about what anyone around will think and that too in a club. As the ongoing Mumbai monsoon has just got better and so is the Friendship Day to flow free hence it’s advised to put music to your inhibitions and dance them away at India’s first ever Silent Party presented by Smirnoff, styled by Sin Denims on 6 August  at TAP, Times Tower, Saki Naki situated in Andheri East.

Silent Party is an avant-garde concept, changing the landscape for which we experience live music putting headphones on and a silent atmosphere instantly transforms in to a high energy musical performance. 

Mirchi takes great pride in hosting this  party with this unique concept that is both fun and noise pollution free. With 1 pair of headphones will let you tune into or connect to 6 mega DJs spinning live at the same time and pumping the best of EDM, Bollywood and TECHNO such as DJ Candice Redding and Audio Addict with EDM beats, DJ Paroma with the Bollywood twist, DJ Ankytrixx, DJ Folic State, DJ Arsh who are ranked among the best in the country and master the genre of techno /underground music. There is also a special addition to the lineup which is Audio Addict who has also created Mirchi Silent Party Anthem song to pump the party up.

Friends FM
Friends FM decides to celebrate Friendship Day through a week long celebration prior to 7 August. Friends friendship day is the concept where 5 lucky winners are selected where each one of them can take their 3 friends along over a gala treat on some of the happening eateries in Kolkata like Smoke house Deli, K19 @ Ballugunje park plaza, Aqua java, Pie Malgudi, Au Bon pain, Yauatcha, Momore, Eagle boys pizza, Friends Café, Auris Hotel. 

On Friendship Day 7 August, friends FM will go 'Global Desi Way' from 10 am- 8 pm. RJs will be going live for 10 hours with some chartbuster Hindi and English songs. At every hour there will be contests and prizes to be won making the day full of fun and excitement.

Big FM

Big FM Delhi will be adding a special stint to its show 'Nayak' which is hosted by Sanjeev Srivastava. They have planned to make the best of legendary partners, Salim-Javed and Sachin-Sourav to open up about the crucial of moments their companionship has faced and what ups and downs they had in their relationship. The show will be on-air from 12 pm- 4 pm on Sunday.

Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan will tell the listeners how they used to work together in films like 'Sholay', how they formed their 'Jodi', how their friendship faced turmoil and how they became friends again.

Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly will share with the listeners how was their first meeting did not work for them, how after Sachin announced his retirement, Sourav gave a heart touching speech, how they together played innings and what did they use to do off the ground and on the ground.

Club FM

Club FM has something interesting to do for Friendship Day. The FM station will be asking listeners to send details about their best friends through mail. They will be giving their friends a prank call and also present them gifts which include voucher worth Rs.1000 and Club FM goodie bags. The name of the activity is stated as 'Mashti Doshti'. 

Radio High

Radio High has decided to pick five best messages from social media, Whatsapp and other mediums. The best five will be invited to the studios of Radio High along with their best friends. Thereby, a session filled with interviews related to the best of memories and other special moments will be shared by those chosen by the FM station.
