Big FM honours golden voices with celebrated awards

MUMBAI: Big FM, India's largest and No.1 radio network culminated the fourth season of Benadryl BIG Golden Voice in the most reputable and attuned way by honouring some of the notable artists from the music fraternity. The event concluded with the announcement of 23-year-old Mumbai girl Rupali Moghe as the winner of Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 4.

The grand finale of radio’s biggest singing reality show will be aired on television for the first time this season.  Big Magic will telecast the grand event on 10th and 18th September from 7-8pm.

Big FM added an altogether different dimension to the grand finale of Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 4 by honouring golden voices, forming a perfect synchronized theme. The event recognized the esteemed contribution of noted singers to the music industry under different categories. The finale event witnessed competing performances by the top 5 finalists among which 23-year-old Rupali Moghe from Mumbai was crowned with the title of ‘BIG Golden Voice of the Year’.

On winning the title, 23-year old Mumbai girl, Rupali Moghe said, “I would like to thank Big FM and Armaan and Amaal Sir for believing in me and providing such a great platform to showcase my talent. It is indeed a great honour to win the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 4. It was a great experience to be trained and perform with so many wonderful voices. I am really excited to tread on the fantastic journey that lies ahead.”

Suresh Wadkar, popular Indian classical singer who has immensely contributed to the Hindi and Marathi film industry was felicitated with ‘Everlasting BIG Golden Voice’ on receiving the award Suresh Wadkar said, “I am delighted to be honoured with the Everlasting BIG Golden Voice Award. It is always a great feeling to see your work being appreciated and I would like to thank Big FM for this prestigious award. BIG Golden Voice is a fantastic platform for fresh singing talent to showcase their skills and my best wishes and blessings are with them. ”

On being honoured for three-year completion of ‘Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’, Annu Kapoor said, “I am grateful to Big FM for giving me the opportunity to host ‘Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor’. It has been a great journey so far and I would like to thank my listeners and fans for giving us so much love. Suhaana Safar has managed to captivate listeners for the past three years and continues to do that episode after episode. With many more years to come, I assure listeners more soulful retro music and unparalleled entertainment.”

Ila Arun widely known for bringing Indian Folk culture into Bollywood songs and received critical acclaim for her performances in prominent Hindi movies was awarded the title of ‘Everlasting BIG Folk Voice of India’. Commenting on the same, Ila Arun said, “I am humbled by this special accolade and would like to thank Big FM for this honour. It feels great when your work and Indian Folk Music is recognized and appreciated by so many people.”

The popular musical duo, Sunali Rathod and Roop Kumar Rathod who have touched many hearts with countless romantic ballads were crowned with ‘Everlasting BIG Golden Voice - Music Jodi’ at the event.

Commenting on getting the award Roop Kumar Rathod said, “We feel honoured that Big FM has chosen us for the title of everlasting musical Jodi. What feels even great is that all those hit numbers are still alive among listeners and they still love and cherish those melodies.” Adding to it, Sunali Rathod further said, “We would like to dedicate this award to our fans who have supported and motivated us throughout this wonderful journey.”

Shirley Setia was announced as the recipient of ‘BIG Digital Sensation’ recognizing her enormous digital success over a short period of three years. An elated Shirley Setia on receiving the award said, "I am really thrilled on receiving this award. My journey began with YouTube three years ago and I cannot wait to make it even bigger. I am thankful to Big FM for recognizing my talent and I hope to continue entertaining my fans, Team Shirley."
