MUMBAI: Mirchi Chandigarh, which commenced operations last month, is trying innovative strategies in a bid to offer competition to its rivals in the city.

With the announcement of the first international flight from Chandigarh, the radio station has started a contest 'Love at First Flight' for couples of Chandigarh city, who have recently got married.

The promos are already on-air and listeners are requested to participate by registering themselves through an SMS.

RJs from the station will call on the numbers of registered listeners and ask the couples funny questions. Based on their responses, a total of six couples will be shortlisted and Mirchi will invite them on-air. Out of these, four couples will have the opportunity to go to Dubai and Sharjah through the first international flight from Chandigarh on 26 September 2016.

Mirchi Chandigarh has partnered with Paul Merchant Ltd for the contest and will be covering the entire expenses for the trip.
