Govt moots cashless digital payment by second batch winners of FM Radio Phase III

MUMBAI: Keeping with the tempo of using cashless digital modes of payment, the Government has said that payments by the successful bidders of the second batch of FM Phase III should be made through Bharat Kosh (https://bharatkosh.gov.in) in electronic mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/RTGS/NEFT).

A note by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said today however that payments could also be made through a demand draft drawn on a Scheduled Bank payable to Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, New Delhi.

The last date for payment of the bid deposit (non-refundable one-time entry fee - NOTEF) - 25 per cent of the bid amount - is 4 March 2017.

The Ministry warned that the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) will be forfeited if the bid deposit is not made by the fixed date.

It added that both the EMD and bid deposit will be forfeited in the event of failure of payment of the balance amount by 14 March 2017.

The bidders are also requested to furnish the requisite information as required under Annexure l0.5(C) of Amendment No.1 of 26 July 2016 to the Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) of 20 June 2016.
