MY FM organized night run with singer Parmish Verma

MUMBAI: MY FM- the radio arm of DB Corp ltd, organized ‘Night Run’, a women safety activity, in collaboration with the Ponty Chaddha Foundation and Wave Estate, Mohali. The activity was one of its kinds as the participants ran in order to spread awareness on women safety in the city. The run culminated with a concert by the famous Punjabi singer and actor Parmish Verma, who encouraged and thrilled the participants with his hit songs all night long.

‘Night Run’ got an overwhelming response with more than 3000 + participants braving the chill and participating for the social cause. The participants were wearing neon color dresses signifying the light of change & safety that needs to be provided to the women of our country. The run was flagged off by Mohali SSP Kuldeep Chahal and guest of honors Rajeev Gupta, CEO Wave Group and Harmandeep Singh Kandhari, Director Wave group.

The unique night run, carried out by wearing luminous cloth, neon-coloured bands, headgears and accessories was inspired by runs that happen across the globe. A warm up Zumba dance-session was organized before the run with MY FM RJs acting as facilitators on stage as the crowd followed suit creating a fun and masti environment.

Speaking on the activity, Rahul Namjoshi COO, MY FM said, “We have been doing Night Run since last few years now. Looking at the increasing crime rate against women in India, we wanted to drive awareness on the major concern on women safety in our country. We would really like to thank the people of Mohali city, Wave group, and Singer Parmish Verma for all their support; and hope that our small initiative brings a big change in society. We will continue to organize these activities in future as well”
