Applicants to FM Phase III permitted to withdraw if necessary through NIA amendment

NEW DELHI: Operators of FM Radio, who had applied for migration to Phase III FM but change their minds, will be given an opportunity to withdraw the option to migrate within five days of intimation of the Non-refundable One Time Migration Fee (NOTMF).

This follows an amendment to the Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) issued on 2 March this year.

The amendment has been made at the specific request of Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI) Secretary General Uday Chawla.

The original Para Seven reads: “The option so exercised shall be considered final and binding.’

Meanwhile, a pre-bid meeting was held on 10 March, consequent to the issuance of the Notice Inviting Applications for FM Radio Phase III.

A Ministry official told Radioandmusic.com that it was a routine meeting where aspirants asked and received replies to their questions.

The official added that the meeting was attending by over forty representatives or aspirants for Phase III.
