MUMBAI: Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) has elevated Prashant Panday to the post of MD and CEO. Prior to this, he held the post of executive director and CEO with the company, and has been with Radio Mirchi for more than 14 years.

Speaking about his new appointment Panday said, "It feels good to be recognised by the Board. I am lucky to have the best team in the media industry working alongside as colleagues. I have always believed that the best of radio is still to come and the next five years will be a fabulous ride for anyone seeking professional success."

In the new role, Panday will continue his previous responsibilities. The company stated that he will continue to spearhead the team in maintaining Radio Mirchi's leadership position in the country.

With an experience over 24 years, Panday has experience in various industries ranging from advertising, banking, FMCG and media. Prior to Radio Mirchi, Prashant has worked with Citibank, Pepsi, HUL, Mudra and Modi Revlon.

Panday's areas of strength include marketing and sales; analytics and strategy and people management. He also served as a member of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting committee on fighting Piracy.
