Entertainment Network India Limited makes two changes in top management

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi announced significant changes in the senior management team. As per the new structure, Radio Mirchi’s COO Hitesh Sharma has been promoted to the post of executive president and Mahesh Shetty will handle the post of COO. Sharma and Shetty will resume their new roles with immediate effect.

According to the network, the change in the management is in lines with its strategy for rapid growth. It will allow Sharma to look after the Phase III expansion program of the company and any other strategic growth areas that the company may pursue.

ENIL (Entertainment Network India Limited) MD and CEO Prashant Panday said, "This is the most exciting time for the radio industry. This elevation comes at a time when we are gearing up for a rapid growth with the announcement of Phase III. We want to be well equipped with the best seasoned team to make the right decisions. We are confident Hitesh and Mahesh will steer the company in the right direction going forward."

Talking about his new role as the new executive president Hitesh Sharma said, "Radio Mirchi’s expansion plans are of utmost importance as we expect the implementation of Phase III to happen soon. I am glad that the company sees the fit in me to take Radio Mirchi to newer markets." Sharma has around 23 years of experience in varied industries ranging from FMCG, Consumer Durable to Telecom and Media Sector. He joined Radio Mirchi in 2003.

Shetty said, "It feels good to be recognised by the company. I am really excited about working closely with an extremely talented team." He has 19 years of experience in the media and FMCG sectors. He joined Radio Mirchi in 2006 and has been a significant part of the management team since then.
