MUMBAI: Red FM, India's largest radio network, organised a friendly match between Red XI and SunRisers Hyderabad. Red FM also happens to be the principal sponsor for SunRisers Hyderabad team for this season of IPL. Marquee players such as Shikhar Dhawan, Trent Boult, Dale Steyn, Ishant Sharma among others participated in the game as Red XI players tried their hand at batting and bowling in the exciting game of cricket that was played at Leonia Resort.

Red FM earlier ran an on-air contest 'Slogan for SunRisers, Hyderabad'. Four listeners who gave the best slogans related were chosen winners and became part of Red XI. The Red XI squad also included trade partners, key clients and key journalists. Red FM Captain Alok Saxsena won the toss and elected to field. Sunrisers Hyderabad headed by Ravi Bopara made 118 runs with Shikhar Dhawan and Ravi Bhopara opening the match. Shikhar hit some magnificent sixes with Ravi Bopara getting deceived by a beautiful delivery by the Red XI caption Alok Saxsena and was caught by RJ Ashish mid wicket. Red XI in return managed to stack up 45 runs on the score board with Alok Saxsena scoring the highest run followed Vikrant Gupta.

During the presentation ceremony Shikhar Dhawan gave out the 'Red Rockstar of the Match' to Alok Saxsena, 'Superhit Batsman of the Match' was given out to Vikrant Gupta and 'Bajaate raho Bowler of the Match' was given to Abhishek Dalvi.

Speaking about the match, Red FM national marketing head Rajat Uppal, said, "We have had the most exciting season of IPL so far. During the season we organized a number of on- ground activities to engage with our listeners and bring the cricketers closer to their fans. The contest 'Slogan for SunRisers, Hyderabad' generated great euphoria amongst our listeners. We hope that the winners of the contest as well as our partners had a good time with the SRH players"
