MY FM aiming for a promising festive season

MUMBAI: India has already entered into the festive mood. Ganpati celebrations have just ended and Navrati is hardly a few days away which will then be followed by Diwali. This festive season works in the favour for many radio players including MY FM who is targeting 30 per cent growth in advertising revenue this year.

Like every year, MY FM plans special programs for festive season which attracts more advertisers for the radio station. This time they intend to play Navratri special Vaishno Devi Katha during all nine days in the spiritual time band 'Aaradhna'. The network also plans to bring in a Bollywood or TV celeb, who would share festive tips.

MY FM CEO Harrish Bhatia said, "Festive season looks very promising; sectors like automobiles, media and entertainment and FMCG have invested significantly in radio this year. We have also received a lot of interest from the burgeoning e-commerce sector. We are looking at a 30 per cent YOY festive season growth."

MY FM claims that the revenue growth of 21 per cent for MY FM has a direct link to their heavy investment in the brands that come up with innovative shows and campaigns to reach out to their target audiences.
