Bieber competes with himself for the top spot at the Official Charts

MUMBAI: Justin Bieber continued his dominance in the singles charts with three singles in the Top 10. Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ replaced his other single ‘Sorry’- that completed its sixth week in the Top 3- as number one for the latest week, whereas Adele’s ‘Hello’ retained the third spot. The 21-year-old Canadian’s single ‘What Do You Mean’ appeared on the chart at the fourth position.

Grace ft. G-Eazy’s single ‘You Don’t Own Me’ climbed to the fifth position from 44, replacing Fleur East’s ‘Sax’ which finished one place down at position six, in its fourth week in the Top 10. MNEK & Zara Larsson continued their stay in the Official Charts Top 10 for the fifth week at number seven. English singer-songwriter Jess Glyne dropped a position to eighth for her single ‘Take Me Home’ in its fifth week. ‘IN2’ by WSTRN climbed up a spot to ninth, and the London-based collective’s last week position was replaced by Canadian singer Weeknd’s single ‘The Hills’ which returned to the Top 10 after finishing eleventh, last week.

The albums chart saw an unchanged Top 3 with British pop icon Adele’s newly released album ‘25’ retaining the top spot for the second week since its release. Elvis Presley’s ‘If I Can Dream’ continues its surprising run in the Top 10, for its second consecutive week at number two. For the third consecutive week, Canadian sensation Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ made into the Top 3, followed by British girl group Little Mix’s third studio album ‘Get Weird’. One Direction’s impressive start at the top of the charts after their newest album ‘Made In The AM’ did not continue, although the album is ranked at sixth position, behind Jess Glyne’s ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ which completes its 15th week in the Top 10.

The only new entry to the Top 10 was the British pop band The Vamps’ newest release ‘Wake Up’ that secured the last spot.
