Radio Mirchi improves the lead in Kolkata

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi continued to comfortably cruise at the top position in Kolkata with the Week 18 figures suggesting a 3.4 per cent difference between the top two positions. Big FM finished previous week with 16.9 per cent shares, however, the figure fell to 15.7 per cent this week. On the summit, Mirchi's shares soared from 17.9 per cent to 19.1 per cent, thus increasing the gap further. Fever FM reduced the gap to the second position, finishing the week with 15.5 per cent. Oye! FM, Aamar FM and Red FM followed the top three at fourth, fifth and sixth positions with the shares of 11 per cent, 10 per cent and 8.8 per cent respectively. In Kolkata, Fever FM enjoyed the highest T.S.L. (5.49), whereas Friends FM had the lowest T.S.L. (2.55) during the week.

Big FM Mumbai dropped 1.2 per cent of shares, but the slip did not stop the station from retaining the top position. With 17.9 per cent and T.S.L. of 6.14, Big FM leads Radio City who finished the week 18 with the shares of 17.1 per cent and T.S.L. of 5.23. Fever FM, too, dropped shares and still retained the last week's position - at third. Radio Mirchi, Red FM and Oye! FM retained the fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively in the city.

In Delhi, Fever FM continued its steady growth in shares (18.5 per cent) and T.S.L. (4.44) retaining the top position. With 12.8 per cent and T.S.L. of 3.34, Radio Mirchi finished the week at the second position, followed by third-placed Radio City (shares - 12.1 per cent; T.S.L. - 3.29). Big FM, Radio Nasha and Red FM positioned at fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively finished the Week 18 with the shares 10.3 per cent, 9.8 per cent and 9.2 per cent.

The impressive run of Radio City Bengaluru at the top entered its week 18 in 2016. The shares of 23.4 per cent and T.S.L. of 10.1 helped the station retain the top position, ahead of second-placed Big FM (shares
- 19.3 per cent; T.S.L.- 8.16). With 18.3 per cent, Radio Mirchi finished the week at the third position. Outside the top three, Fever FM and Red FM retained the fourth position and fifth position respectively. Radio Indigo secured the last position in the city with the lowest shares (2 per cent) and T.S.L. of 3.19.
