Radio Mirchi rules Kolkata; BIG FM tops Mumbai

MUMBAI: Kolkata is dominated by Radio Mirchi with the shares of 20.1 per cent and T.S.L. of 4.42, whereas Big FM increases its shares from 15.4 per cent to 16.8 with the T.S.L of 5.19 and secured second position in Kolkata. Fever FM and Oye! FM hold their third and fourth position with the shares of 13.8 per cent and T.S.L. of 5.2 and 11 percent and T.S.L. of 4.02 in that order.

Aamar FM got back in the picture; secured fifth with 10.1 per cent of share and T.S.L. of 4.07. Red FM and Radio One got sixth and seventh position with shares of 9 and 7.6 per cent along with T.S.L. of 3.19 and 3.31 respectively. Friends FM stood at eighth position with shares of 4.3 and T.S.L. of 2.45.

Big FM stayed glued at the top in Mumbai by increasing its shares from 15.3 per cent to 16.1 (0.8 per cent increase) and T.S.L. of 5.35. Radio City (shares - 14.3 per cent; T.S.L. – 4.23) decrease 0.1 per cent in shares compared to the last week, following not a huge gap to the top. Radio Mirchi beats fever and finished the week at the third position with shares of 13.5 per cent and T.S.L. of 4.04 (Last week shares -12.7; T.S.L. - 4.1).

Fever FM decreases its shares and got down from third to fourth position with the shares of 13.5 per cent and T.S.L. of 6.4. Red FM and Radio Nasha finished the week as fifth and sixth with 11.1 and 7.4 per cent of shares and T.S.L. of 3.41 and 5.16 respectively. Radio one beats Oye! FM and got the seventh position with the shares of 3.1 per cent and T.S.L. of 2.01. Oye! FM got the eighth position in Mumbai with 3.1 per cent and T.S.L. of 2.34.

The first positioned station in Delhi, Fever FM finished the week with shares of 17 per cent and T.S.L. of 4.27. Radio Mirchi (11.5 per cent) and Radio City (10.9 per cent) at third and fourth positions. Radio Nasha is at fifth position with 10.3 per cent share and T.S.L of 4.08. Big FM maintained its sixth position as last week with 9.7 per cent and T.S.L. of 3.12. Oye! FM and Hit FM stayed at the bottom of the graph.

Until now Bangalore seems to have a similar top three all through the year. Radio City dropped its shares of 0.7 per cent but remained at the top with 22.4 per cent shares and T.S.L of 10.14 which is highest among the others. BIG FM maintained its second position (Shares: 19.5 and T.S.L – 8) with increasing shares of 0.4 per cent and T.S.L of 0.74 compared to last week. Radio Mirchi, Fever FM, and Red FM also continued to hold the third, fourth and fifth positions, same as last week, whereas Radio Indigo finished the week 20 at the bottom position.

Radio City is the usual winner in Bangalore, and in week 28 also there was no exception. With the share of 24.6 per cent and T.S.L. of 9.47, Radio City maintained its position to the top. Big FM and Radio Mirchi came second and third with shares of 20 and 17.3 per cent; T.S.L of 7.31 and 7.27 in that order.

Fever FM got shares of 14.2 (last week share - 14.5) per cent and Red FM got 5.3 percent and stood fourth and fifth. Radio One stood sixth with 3.9 per cent shares (T.S.L. 3.44) and Radio Indigo, got the last place with shares of 1.5 per cent and T.S.L. of 2.1.
