Big FM surges in Kolkata, Mumbai

MUMBAI: While Mirchi stayed put at leader position in the three metros, Big FM inched closer in Kolkata to snap at the leader's heels. In Mumbai, Big FM elbowed up the ladder to get into the top five.

Bangalore: The leader, Big FM lost 0.1 points in the city but stayed at number one position with a share of 19.3 per cent, while Mirchi inched up 0.1 percentage points to end the week with a share of 17.8 per cent. Both Fever and Radio City lost 0.1 and 0.2 points respectively to end with shares of 15.1 per cent and 12.6 per cent.


Delhi:
In the capital, Mirchi surged 0.1 points to end head and shoulders above rival FM stations, with a market share of 24.7 per cent. While Fever maintained status quo at second spot with a share of 18.8 per cent, AIR FM Gold held fast at third spot with a share of 17.8 per cent. At distant fourth spot was Red FM which lost 0.4 points and took home a share of 9.4 per cent. Radio City came up close behind with a share of 8.5 per cent.


Kolkata:
All the top four stations recorded significant gains in week 13, with leader Mirchi taking home a share of 20.7 per cent, a climb of 0.5 per cent. Big FM climbed 0.7 points, to end with a share of 17.7 per cent. While Friends stayed at a share of 11.9 per cent, Aamar FM came up close with a share of 10.8 per cent at fourth place. Red FM at fifth place however, host 0.6 points and ended at 8.5 per cent share of the market.


Mumbai:
Radio City at third place surged up 0.6 points threatining Red FM that held on to a share of 14.2 per cent. Mirchi moved up 0.1 points to end with a share of 17.3 per cent. Big FM stayed marginally close behind AIR FM Gold - having climbed 0.5 percentage points during week 13.
