Mirchi slips in Kolkata, Mumbai

MUMBAI: Even as it held on its leadership position in three metros, Radio Mirchi's market share suffered in Kolkata and Mumbai, as well as in Bangalore where it lags behind Big FM.

Bangalore: In Bangalore, Big FM climbed 0.5 percentage points to end the week with a share of 19.8 per cent, ahead of Mirchi which lost 0.2 points and ended the week with a share of 17.7 per cent.Fever too climbed 0.5 points and had a market share of 15.7 per cent.

Delhi: Mirchi maintained status quo in the capital, even as the rest of the stations lost some of their market share. While Mirchi ended the week with a share of 24.7 per cent and Fever followed with a share of 18.7 per cent, it was Radio City that gained the most - 0.9 percentage points and ended with a share of 9.1 per cent. Big FM too recorded a gain of 0.2 points and ended with a share of 6.9 per cent.


Kolkata:
Mirchi slipped 0.6 percentage points in Kolkata, to end with a share of 20 per cent, while Big FM slipped a marginal 0.1 percentage points to end with a share of 16.7 per cent. Friends climbed 0.2 points and ended the week with a share of 13.7 per cent. Aamar, the other local station, was not as lucky, losing 0.8 points during the week and ending with a share of 10.3 per cent.

Mumbai: Mirchi slipped 0.8 points and ended the week with a share of 16.8 per cent, while Red FM climbed 0.7 percentage points and came a close second with a share of 14.7 per cent. Radio City lost 0.3 points but held on to third place with a share of 13 per cent. AIR FM Gold registered a strong gain of 0.9 points and ended with a share of 12 per cent at fourth place, ahead of Big FM.
