Most radio stations hold on to their positions

MUMBAI: According to the 18th week RAM figures, Radio City Mumbai and Bengaluru, Fever FM Delhi and Radio Mirchi Kolkata, continued to hold their positions. Radio City held the top spot in Mumbai and Bengaluru with a market share of 18.7 and 23.5 per cent, respectively.


In Mumbai, Big FM held the second spot with a market share of 17.8 per cent, TSL of 6.11 and TARP of 1.3. Radio City and Big FM shared the same TARP of 1.3 per cent. Fever FM held the third position with the highest TSL in the city as compared to other private stations, at 6.59 TSL. Meanwhile, Big FM's show- 'Suhana Safar' with Anu Kapoor held the highest TARP of 5 per cent (25 years plus) in the city.


In Bengaluru, Big FM claimed the third position, followed by Radio Mirchi and Fever FM with market shares of 20.3, 17.3 and 13 per cent, respectively. Big FM's 'Big Coffee' with RJ Shruti reported the highest TARP in the city of 5.9 per cent.


In the capital city, Fever FM held the top spot with a market share of 18.2 per cent, followed by Radio Mirchi with 13.8 per cent. Radio City moved into third spot in the city with a market share of 12.5 and was followed by Big FM with a market share of 12.3 per cent. In the city, Fever FM's show 'Evening Drive' with RJ Nitin recorded a TARP of 2.2 per cent.


In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi held the first spot followed by Big FM and Fever FM in second and third positions, respectively. Big FM registered TSL of 4.38 and a market share of 14.9 per cent., while Oye FM held the fourth position in the city with a market share of 10.7 per cent. Radio Mirchi's 'Kaali Kotha' with RJ Jaganath held the top position in the city.
