Most radio stations stick to the same positions during 15th week

MUMBAI: According to the RAM statistics for the 15 week of 2015, Radio City held the top spot in Mumbai and Bengaluru with a market share of 18.2 and 21.4, respectively. Fever FM has kept a strong hold in Delhi, not just during the previous week but all through the 15 weeks of this year and for many weeks during 2014 as well. Radio Mirchi held the top spot in Kolkata.

In Delhi, Fever FM shows competed with each other for top spots. Out of the five shows that registered the highest TARP in Delhi, four shows were by Fever FM and one was by Big FM. Shows like ‘Full on Punjabi' with RJ Avinash, 'Evening Drive' with Nitin, 'Dilli ke Do Dabang' with Manu and Abhilash, and 'Zara Si Life' with RJ Rhicha Vyas, registered TARPs of 2.6, 2.2, 2 and 1.9 per cent, respectively (for 12+ years). Big FM's show ‘Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor did well in Delhi with a TARP of 2.1 per cent. In the city, other stations that held second, third, fourth and fifth spots were Radio Mirchi, Radio City, Big FM and Red FM.

In Mumbai, Big FM held the second spot with a market share of 18.2 per cent, followed by Radio Mirchi, Fever FM and Red FM, each with market shares of 17.4, 13.6, 13.3 and 10.9, respectively. Big FM’s ‘Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor registered the highest TARP of 3.4 per cent, followed by Radio City’s ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi’ with RJ Gaurav and Big FM’s ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Siddharth. Two Radio Mirchi shows- ‘Purani Jeans’ with RJ Sayema and ‘Hi Mumbai’ with Jeeturaj registered market shares of 2.2 and 21.1 per cent, respectively.

In Bengaluru, leader- Radio City was followed by Big FM, which had a market share of 21.1 per cent and TSL of 7.47 per cent. Radio Mirchi was third in the city with a market share of 18.3 per cent, followed by Fever FM and Red FM with market shares of 12.4 per cent and 6.5 per cent, respectively. Shows that did well were ‘Big Coffee’ with RJ Shruti, ‘City Mathu’ with RJ Pradeepa, ‘Hi Bengaluru’ with RJ Smitha, ‘Fever Flashback’ with RJ Rubina and ‘Shubhodhaya with RJ Sowjanya.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi held the first spot, and was followed by Big FM and Oye FM with market shares 15.6 and 10.4 per cent, respectively. Meanwhile, Radio Mirchi’s ‘Kaali Kotha’ with RJ Jaganath and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Mir, Big FM’s ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Khas Koushik and ‘Chirodiner Sur’ with RJ Pamela, and Radio Mirchi’s ‘90 Not Out’ with RJ Shree, registered TARP between 3.8 and 2 per cent.
