Radio Stations shuffle their positions

MUMBAI: According to the RAM ratings for the seventh week of 2015, Big FM held the first position in Mumbai with a market share of 19.1 per cent, TSL of 6.34 per cent and TARP of 1.3 per cent. Radio City ranked second in the city with a market share 18.5 per cent, TSL of 5.24 per cent and TARP of 1.3 per cent. Big FM’s show ‘Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor’ reported a TARP of 5.2 per cent which was higher than the TARP of Radio City’s ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi’ - RJ Gaurav, as it reported a TARP of 4.2 per cent.

Other stations that enjoyed market share in double digit in the city are Fever FM, Radio Mirchi and Red FM. Fever FM’s show ‘Pal Do Pal’ with RJ Karan Singh did well in Mumbai. Fever FM held third position amongst the private FM stations in the city with a TARP of one per cent, TSL of 6.07 per cent and 13.8 per cent. Two Radio Mirchi shows, ‘Purani Jeans’ wth RJ Sayema and ‘Hi Mumbai’ with Jeeturaj, did well in the city with TARP of 2.5 and 2.3 per cent, respectively.

In Delhi, Fever FM shows- ‘Full on Punjabi’ with RJ Avinash, ‘Evening Drive’ with Nitin and ‘Dilli ke Do Dabang’ with Manu and Abhilash had the highest TARP compared to other private FM stations. HT’s radio division Fever FM ranked first in the capital with a market share of 19 per cent, TSL of 5.05 per cent and 1.4 per cent. In second place in the city was Big FM, with a market share of 12.7 percent and TSL of 3.31 per cent. Third in line is Radio City with a market share of 12.6 per cent which is 0.1 per cent lower than Big FM, but held the highest TSL of 3.41 per cent and same TARP of 0.9 per cent.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi ruled with a market share of 21 per cent, TSL of 4.46 per cent and TARP of 1.7 per cent. Radio Mirchi’s shows- ‘Kaali Kotha’ with RJ Jaganath and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Mir, enjoyed the highest TARP in the city compared to other shows of the other network. Big FM held the second position with a market share of 16 per cent, TSL of 5 per cent and TARP of 1.3 per cent. Oye FM held the third position in the city with a market share of 11.3 per cent. Big FM shows that did well in the city were ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Khas Koushik, ‘Chirodiner Sur’ with RJ Pamela, ‘Raater Otithi’ with RJ Neel and’ Saranagato’ with RJ Sumanta.

Radio City Bangalore held the first position in the city with a market share of 24.1 per cent, followed by Big FM with a markets share of 21.8 per cent and Radio Mirchi with a market share of 17.5 per cent. Radio City held the highest TSL of 9.45 per cent, followed by Big FM yet again. Radio City’s shows- ‘City Mathu’ with RJ Rachna, ‘Love Guru’ with RJ Love Guru, ‘City Maathu’ with RJ Pradeep and ‘Shubhodhaya’ with RJ Sowjanya did well.
