RAM: Week 19 continues status quo for stations

MUMBAI: With summer at its peak, radio stations maintained their status quo in week 19, as per RAM data.

There were hardly any ripples in the numbers game across the four metros, as Mirchi retained its lead in three of the four cities except Bangalore.

Bangalore: Big FM slipped 0.1 points to end with a market share of 19.4 per cent, still ahead of Mirchi which climbed 0.1 points but held on to second position with a share of 17.7 per cent. Fever kept third position although it lost 0.4 points, and Radio City held fast at a share of 12.3 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow came in close behind with a share of 10 per cent.

Delhi: All the three top stations in the capital climbed 0.1 points in week 19. Mirchi had a share of 24.9 per cent, followed by Fever that took home a share of 18.7 per cent, just ahead of AIR FM Gold that had a share of 17.5 per cent. Red FM dropped 0.1 points and ended the week with a share of 9.7 per cent, ahead of Radio City which had a share of 8.1 per cent.

Kolkata: Leader Mirchi lost 0.3 points to end the week with a 20.4 per cent. Big FM too lost 0.2 points to end with a share of 17.1 per cent. Friends continued at third position although it climbed 0.1 points, ending with a share of 11.9 per cent. Aamar followed with a share of 10.7 per cent.

Mumbai: Mirchi stayed constant at 17.1 per cent of the market share, and Red FM had to be content with second spot and 14.2 per cent of the market, even though it climbed 0.1 points. Radio City lost 0.1 points, and took home a share of 13.1 per cent. Big FM followed with a share of 11.6 per cent, and AIR FM Gold followed close behind with a share of 11.5 per cent.
