Two stations in Bengaluru register the same market share

MUMBAI: According to the RAM statistics for week 8 of 2015, Radio City, Fever FM and Radio Mirchi, held the top positions in Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata, respectively. Big FM, which was in the top spot in Mumbai in the previous week lost out to Radio City, but claimed the top position in Bengaluru.

In Mumbai, Big FM held the second position followed by Fever FM, Radio Mirchi and Red FM, all of which held two-digit market shares in the city. The TSL of Big FM continued to be the highest in the city. The station’s shows like ‘Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor, ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Siddharth, ‘Afternoon Show’ with RJ Rani and ‘Evening Show’ with RJ Dilip, did well last week. ‘Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor held the highest TARP with 3.6 per cent.

In Delhi, Fever FM held the first spot with a market share of 18.6, which was followed by Radio Mirchi with a market share of 13 per cent. Big FM, Radio City and Red FM held market shares of 12.1 per cent, 11.6 per cent and 10.8 per cent, respectively. Fever FM shows- ‘Evening Drive’ with Nitin, ‘Full on Punjabi’ with RJ Avinash and ‘Dilli ke Do Dabang’ with Manu and Abhilash had the highest TARP in the city, compared to shows by other private FM stations.

In Kolkata, three Radio Mirchi shows- ‘Kaali Kotha’ with RJ Jaganath, ‘90 Not Out’ with RJ Shree and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Mir did well along with the station, which held a market share of 20 per cent. The second station competing for market share was Big FM, followed by Oye FM, Aamar FM and Radio One. Four Big FM shows did well, including ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Khas Koushik, ‘Saranagato’ with RJ Sumanta, ‘Chirodiner Sur’ with RJ Pamela and ‘Raater Otithi’ with RJ Neel.

In Bengaluru, Big FM’s ‘Big Coffee’ with RJ Shruti, ‘Retro Savaari’ with RJ Rashmi and ‘By 2 Chat’ with RJ Mimickry Daya and RJ Shalini registered good TARPs. Radio City shows like ‘City Mathu’ with RJ Rachna, ‘Love Guru’ with RJ Love Guru, ‘City Maathu’ with RJ Pradeep and ‘Shubhodhaya’ with RJ Sowjanya also did well.
