Bose launches sound dock system for iPod/iPhone

MUMBAI: Bose has introduced its first Works with iPhone... certified Sound Dock system.

The Sound Dock Series II digital music system, a speaker system for iPod and iPhone, combines the same small size and high-quality audio performance as the original Sound Dock system, with an enhanced look and added functionality.
With added versatility the system features a new auxiliary input that lets users connect other audio devices, such as an MP3 player, portable CD player or music-enabled phone. It provides dock-and-play simplicity and will charge an i-Pod or iPhone while in use. No additional setup is required. An included infrared remote controls the system and basic i-Pod and i-Phone functions, including play list navigation, from across the room. Volume controls are located on the unit.

The speaker maintains a small footprint, measuring just 6 5/8" or 16.89 cm high by 12" or 30.26 cm wide and only 6 1/2" or 16.47 cm deep. The Sound Dock Series II system works with the i-Phone 3G and original i-Phone models. It also works with most i-Pod models, including i-Pod touch and any i-Pod featuring a click wheel, including all nano, mini, photo, video and classic models.

With this launch Bose now has three offerings in its portfolio of Sound Dock family, The Sound Dock Classic Digital Music System, Sound Dock II Digital Music System and the Sound Dock Portable Digital Music System.

The Sound Dock Series II system is available in Gloss Black & Silver for Rs. 17,888/- . It will be sold at authorized Bose dealers, Bose retail stores, online at www.Boseindia.com.
