Karbonn Mobile launches two new handsets

MUMBAI: Karbonn Mobile, a joint venture of Bangalore-based United Telelinks and Jaina, has furthered its penetration in the Indian market with the launch of two new mobile models K560 and K460.

The Karbonn K560 is a personalized music interface and has a Wolfson Audio Codec on its MP3 Player. It's music interface represents each song with a disc, allowing users to become their own disc jockeys. It has features like FM radio, recording, video player, A2DP Bluetooth and GPRS Class12. It also has a 2.0 megapixel camera and an expandable memory upto 8GB.

The Karbonn K460 is a slider phone that the company claims has upto 300 hours battery standby time. It has features like FM Radio, recording, MP3 player, video player, camera, WAP, GPRS, MMS. K460 also has an expandable memory upto 8GB.

United Telelinks Managing Director Sudhir Hasija said, "Karbonn aims to bring fantastic features and great technology in mobile handsets within everybody's reach. We strive to provide our consumers with world class performance and unlimited entertainment on our phones....

Karbonn Mobiles was launched in March this year and already has a range of 20 mobile phones. The price range of the phones is between Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000.

Karbonn has over 500 service centers established across the country and aims to have 1000 service centers by March 2010. It plans to invest around Rs. 200 crores on marketing in the next 12 months.
