MUMBAI: Google’s Motorola announced its Moto X smartphone in New York. The company stated that the phone will be available in US, Canada and Latin America.

The device features Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 4.7inch HD 720p AMOLED display, dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB, 32GB internal storage (with no removable storage), 10MP rear camera, 2MP back camera, 4G LTE support and 2,200mAh battery.

"At Motorola our roots are deep in mobile hardware -- we invented mobile communications," Motorola Mobility Canada general manager Odile Guinot said in a release.

The product will be available in the US and Canada from late August, and will cost $199 on a two year contract.
