Samsung unveils Galaxy S4

MUMBAI: Korean handset maker Samsung unveiled the much awaited smartphone from its portfolio Galaxy S4 at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan.
The handset features 5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 1.9 GHz quad-core processor or 1.6 GHz Octa-core processor (depending upon region), 2GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 3G, 4G LTE, 16/32/64GB storage expandable memory up to 64GB via microSD slot, 3G, 4G LTE and 2600 mAh battery.
It is also equipped with special imaging features including 'Dual Camera' and 'Dual Video Call', that allow users to click pictures and make video calls using both the front and rear cameras simultaneously. It also has shooting modes like 'Drama Shot' allowing users to see all the action in one continuous time-lapse and 'Sound & Shot', that stores sound and voice together as the picture.
The 'Group Play' function enables users to share music, photos, documents and games without using WiFi or mobile connectivity. It also has the S Translator features, which provides voice-to-text and text-to-voice translation.
Apart from that, the device also features functions like 'Smart Pause' enabling users to control the screen by where they look, 'Smart Scroll' allowing users to scroll the browser or emails up and down without touching the screen, 'Air View' allowing users to hover with their fingers to preview the content of an email, S Planner, image gallery or video without having to open it by just gesturing in air.
Samsung president and head IT and mobile communications J K Shin said, "All the innovative features of Galaxy S4 were developed based on the insights and needs we found from our consumers all around the world."
The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.
