Samsung unveils P3 touch-screen MP3 player in India

MUMBAI: Samsung India has announced the launch of its widescreen portable multimedia player, P3 in the Indian market. The player features the EmoTure interface with haptic feedback and a three inch WQVGA TFT-LCD touch screen. The player also has a Music Hot Touch Key, located just below the touch screen that allows users to instantly access music features and selections without needing to cycle through multiple menus.

A press release issued by the company says that the P3 incorporates Samsung's updated DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology. The player is 0.39 inches thin and includes a 16:9 widescreen video player, audio player, photo album viewer, voice recorder and FM radio. The P3 can also be paired with a Bluetooth enabled phone, allowing users to use the built-in microphone to answer calls directly through the player.

The P3 features a reinforced die-cast metal casing and is available in matte black and matte silver finishes. The player is available in 8GB and 16GB varieties, and is priced at Rs.11,900 and Rs 14,900 respectively.
