Sanyo launches internet radio set in Canada

Electronics major Sanyo has combined the concept with the old fashioned radio chassis with features of the Internet with the Sanyo R227 that has been launched in Canada.

The R227 connects to a wireless network and plays stations/podcasts from anywhere on the web. It has a huge database of channels, programs etc, and it can also be programmed manually. Besides it also has regular digitial FM, and can also act as a speaker for your MP3 player.

It supports AC, AIFF, MP3, RM, WAV, WMA and playlists (M3V) stored on a networked computer.

The Sanyo R227 is available in Canada for CAD$219.99.
