Sony launches NWZ-S540 and NWZ-E440 Walkman
MUMBAI: Sony has made two new additions to the Walkman Video MP3 player family with the launch of NWZ-S540 and NWZ-E440 series in India.
The NWZ-S540 series sports the new digital linear phase speaker system ofSony. This is flaunted to have the potential for boosting the sound quality from stereo speakers.The advanced audio technology allows for natural sound reproduction and powerful bass soundsto be amplified in a compact body.
Both the models come with extended battery life. The NWZ-S540 powers the users to listen music non-stop for 42 hours and the video can be played continuously for 6.5 hours. Meanwhile, one can listen music to up to 30 hours and play video for up to 6 hours on the NWZ-E440.
NWZ-S540 sports a 4-inch high resolution (240 x 320) QVGA LCD screen and weighs just 54 g, with NWZ-E440 series flaunting a 2.0-inch LCD screen.
Walkman S540 series has incorporated the new alarm function which allows for users to set a daily 'wake-up call'. A timer function switches off the Walkman within a set time, which helps to preserve battery life.
Its other features include voice and FM recording, multiple codec support, content Transfer software.
Content Transfer software enables the users for a faster transfer of music, movies and photos from Windows Explorer, iTunes as well as Cyber-shot cameras by means of the drag-and-drop interface.
The NWZ S540 series comes in black colour, whereas NWZ-E440 series is offered in pink, violet, red and black.
The 4GB black NWZ-S540 will cost Rs. 6,990 and the 4GB NWZ-E440, comes at a cost of Rs. 5,990 whereas buyers have to shell Rs. 6,990 for a 8GB black NWZ-E440.
