Sony Xperia M and Xperia M dual smartphones announced

MUMBAI: Sony’s android smartphone in Xperia series- Xperia M will be available worldwide from the third quarter of 2013.

Sony mobile Xperia marketing director Calum MacDougall said, “Consumers looking for their first steps into the world of Xperia smartphones, would be well-advised to look at Xperia M or Xperia M dual. Both models benefit from Sony’s proven innovation and engineering expertise, and are perfect for those who want the premium technology and experiences often only associated with high-end models.”

The device sports a 4-inch 854 x 480 TFT display, android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8227 processor, 5MP camera with flash, 0.3MP VGA camera on the front, 4GB internal storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD, NFC, 3G, WiFi, bluetooth 4.0, DLNA connectivity and 1,750mAh battery.

A dual-SIM version of Xperia M is also going to be available. The Xperia M dual will have Android 4.2 with same specifications, except for the extra SIM slot.

The price of the phone is yet to be revealed.
