MUMBAI: Temperatures will soar this summer with the hottest music awards in the digital medium. Third time in a row; the Artist Aloud awards honor independent music. Artist Aloud- a digital medium that has provided a platform for both iconic and budding independent musicians and artists to showcase their talent is back yet again with the well-known music awards. With these awards, Artist Aloud looks to honor independent music and thus enable indie music artists to gain the recognition they truly deserve.

Starting 6 May 2013, the awards will run for a period of seven weeks, including six weeks of nomination based voting and one week of Top 5 under Best Song, Best Male, Best Female and Best Group on the Artist Aloud Web, WAP and SMS through keywords. This year around, the platform provided opportunities to a larger pool of indie artists and their unique music. The voting process remains the same as last time, wherein each week users vote for their favorite artist under a given genre of music for that week. All independent music singles and albums released on Artist Aloud from January to December 2012, qualify to be a part of the awards.

The six music genres of the award format that include Pop, Rock, Alternative, Global, Fusion and Mixed bag will witness crowning of the best of the best. Users will be able to vote online on as well as on their mobile phones by logging onto the WAP site.

The final winners of the ‘3rd Annual Artist Aloud Awards’ will be announced in the third week of June 2013 on the website.
