MUMBAI: The All India Radio (AIR), Imphal bagged the 1st position of Aksahvani Annual Award, 2007 for a radio documentary entitled, 'Eikhoina Soidana Ngamlani' based on the status of AIDS in Manipur, a release of the AIR, Imphal programme executive, M Biramani said.

It said that M Kanankumar Singh, Asst Station director received the trophy from Arun Sharma, Minister of state for I&B in a glittering function held at Lucknow on February 29. M Biramani Singh, Prog Executive, who produced the programme also received the certificate and cash prize of Rs 10, 000.

All India Radio is one of the largest radio networks in the world. The headquarters is at the Akashwani Bhavan, New Delhi.
