MUMBAI: Renowned lyricists Swanand Kirkire, music composer Shantanu Moitra and standup comedian Vikram Sathaye’s profound project Bawraas - an evening of Laughter, Lyrics and Music was held today at Rangsharda.

The fun filled evening of comedy and music enthralled the audiences. Bollywood’s iconic actor Vidya Balan and Aditya Birla Finance CEO Rakesh Singh presented Krushnaa Patil a cheque of Rs 10 lakh at the event.

The show was a full house with attendance of eminent personalities like Mumbai Mayor Sunil Prabhu, Bollywood celebrities like Dia Mirza, Additional Commissioner of Police Vishwasrao Nagare Patil, Mandira Bedi, Roshan Abbas, Gaurav Kapoor, Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Bhogale, Gauri Shinde and many more.

Bawraas is an initiative aimed at providing individuals a platform to showcase their talent, access to resources to give them a head start to achieving their dreams and adequate mentoring to eventually become self dependent and be able to support themselves. The show performance was along the theme of Laughter, Lyrics and Music.

The two aspects of the show ‘Laughter’ and ‘Lyrics and Music’ were hosted by stand-up comedian Vikram Sathaye and Bollywood lyricist and music composer Swanand Kirkire and Shantanu Moitra along with their band respectively.
