Bengalurina's Radio City 91.1 FM's Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations

MUMBAI: Bengalurina's Radio City 91.1 FM is all geared to celebrate Kannada Rajyothsava, the historical day when all Kannada speaking regions of South India were merged to form the state of Karnataka. On the occasion of the 52nd Kannada Rajyothsava or Karnataka Formation Day on November 1st, 2008, the city's Total Bangalorean FM station – Bengalurina's Radio City 91.1FM is celebrating being �Kannadiga' and �Total Bangalorean' in mind, body and spirit.

Kannada Rajyothsava celebrations on Bengalurina's Radio City 91.1 FM begin with the airing of a song (Hesaritu Karnataka) created exclusively by Radio City for the occasion. The song celebrates the heritage, culture and literature of Karnataka and is a tribute to the Kannada poets who have received national recognition. A radio film – �Nan Avall Alla- Nanu Buddhivanthalu' created specially by Radio City 91.1 FM for the occasion will be premiered on the FM station on Nov 1, 2008 and will be played every hour. This film is a vignette featuring renowned stars from the Kannada industry speaking passionately about their mother tongue �Kannada' and other aspects.

Radio City 91.1 FM will also feature prominent celebrities from the music and film industry across the day. Listeners can catch �Namma Power Star Puneet' and Upendra, Ramesh Aravind amongst others talking about being proud Kannadigas and paying tribute to Karnataka. In addition to this non Kannadigas such as Kunal Ganjawala, Kavitha Krishnamurthy amongst others will share their memorable experiences of working in the Kannada Film Industry and the people here.
