EMI Music India honours Norah Jones with Platinum Disc
NEW DELHI: EMI Music India team has presented Norah Jones with the Platinum Disc for the notable sales she clocked in digitally and physically.
The Platinum Disc presentation celebrates the impressive sales of her albums Come Away With Me, Feels Like Home and the latest Little Broken Hearts in the Indian market. Norah Jones sold 1,35,000 units and more on the physical format and over 5 00 000 downloads on digitally. Top tracks downloaded included Sunrise, Come Away With Me, Don’t Know Why, Happy Pills – the same songs fans cheered for at her Mumbai concert last Sunday.
David Guetta is another top selling artist from the label, being honoured Multi Platinum Disc. Sound Box has learnt that both albums of the acclaimed DJ sold almost 11,000 copies physically and witnessed 5,00,000 downloads online. Katy Perry joins the league with 3,00,000 digital downloads and counting.
