Celebrating the everyday heroes of Hyderabad who are achievers in their own right, Hyderabad's Radio City 91.1FM is hosting â€?Ek Chai EK Empty' a Hyderabadi Irani Chai Special. This 2-week contest is a hunt for Hyderabad's best Irani-Chai Caf?© and will feature the city's most popular tea houses.

From Dec 1, 2008, Hyderabad's Radio City 91.1FM's Hyderabadi Irani Chai celebration started with �Ek Chai EK Empty' as RJ Shankar Dada, host of �Hyderabadsha' (5-9 PM) discussed Irani-Chai and its connection with Hyderabad city. Everyday RJ Vamsee, host of �Namaste Anna' (7-11 AM) visited Irani tea houses all across Hyderabad to draw up a list of the top contenders. Some of these tea-houses include Niagara (Chadarghat), Tea Den (Nallakunta), Blue Sea (Secunderabad), Nimrah (Charminar), Bombay (Abids), Paradise Hotel (Secunderabad) and Shams (Chadarghat) among others.

Basis the parameters of hygiene, price, flavour, hospitality and popularity – RJ Vamsee and Shankar Dada will announce the winner of â€?Ek Chai EK Empty' on Hyderabadsha' (5-9PM) on Saturday, Dec 13, 2008 and this will be followed by a Felicitation Ceremony. On Sunday, Dec 14, 2008 – the entire Radio City team including RJ Shankar Dada and RJ Vamsee will visit Hyderabad's best Irani-Chai Caf?© to felicitate them along with Hyderabad's Radio Cityzens.
