Indaba Music Launches First Web-Based Digital Audio Workstation to Support High-Quality Recording
MUMBAI: Indaba Music (www.indabamusic.com), the leading suite of online tools for musicians, today publicly launched its Session Console 2.0, an innovative digital audio workstation (DAW) that brings high-quality recording to the web for the first time. The application is built on Sun Microsystems' JavaFX platform and is being launched in conjunction with a contest to remix stems from Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of the multiplatinum music group, Weezer, who endorsed the application. The Session Console 2.0 enables all musicians to record high-quality audio directly to Indaba Music, access advanced mixing and editing tools as well as use the software either online or offline. For many, the application eliminates the need to purchase expensive audio production tools. In addition to today's DAW launch, Indaba Music also redefined its professional membership offerings and made live new Community and Sessions pages.

Submissions will be accepted until August 4, voting end August 14, and winners will be announced on August 24. The first place winner will receive a one of a kind, custom designed Epiphone G-400 along with other prizes.
