Mumbai: Celebrating the spirit of Ë?Radio Olympiad', radio's first-ever Olympiad on BIG 92.7 FM, it was a moment of great pride as Mumbai's favorite RJ Rohit of Ë?Mumbai Much Much' fame, today kick-started the much-awaited LIVE on-air marathon from a BIG 92.7 FM mobile studio, an attempt to achieve the heroic challenge of non-stop RJing for 105 hours. With the city of Mumbai choking at its seams with pollution of all kinds, RJ Rohit through this never-before attempted marathon is adopting an innovative way to highlight the cause of celebrating an eco-friendly Ganpati, this season.

This innovative and unique event with RJ Rohit was flagged-off by none other than the very glamorous Isha Koppikar amidst much fanfare, with people swarming in to take a glimpse of this exciting event at a popular suburban mall. RJ Rohit's heroic feat of attempting the Limca Records of 105 hrs will finally come to an end on August 25, 208 

This unusual record requires the Radio Jockey to have immense passion for Radio, given that it is a true endurance test. The city of Mumbai will get to witness radio's biggest event as RJ Rohit goes LIVE on-air from 5 different locations in Mumbai across all 5 days! Such a marathon makes for a rare attempt and hence there are no learning's for the RJ. He has gone through several preparations for the marathon both physically and mentally and has also undertaken fitness, yoga and meditation classes to ensure the highest levels of patience, commitment and focus¦these preparations along with prayers & blessings from his near and dear ones! BIG 92.7 FM has ensured all arrangements required like medical assistance, food, energy drinks, string of well wishers to ensure RJ Rohit is in high spirits and also a well chalked out programming plan to ensure the successful completion of the marathon.  

The on-air marathon will have RJ Rohit talk about the need to opt for eco-friendly Ganesh idols and how every Mumbaikar should come forward to support & sensitize such a cause for a cleaner / greener environment, an attempt in taking the lead in championing such a cause. Also, during the on-air marathon, there will be conversations with celebrities, friends and fans that are expected to call BIG 92.7 FM, to wish him luck and pray for a successful marathon completion. He will have a host of celebrities visiting him at his mobile studio rooting for him 

Expressing his anticipation, RJ Rohit added, ?“I am excited and nervous, both at the same time. It is great that I and my radio station listeners will be together through the days & nights keeping each other company (laughs). I know the wishes of Mumbaikars are with me and I am all geared to complete the marathon. It is all the more challenging for me because I will be urging every Mumbaikar to support a cause, through this on-air marathon?
